Man, my hair type looks about identical to yours, only blonder and a little longer. I never really used any sort of conditioner/product or anything and it would act/look completely different each day depending on temperature, humidity, minutes since my last shower, whether the Chiefs won, etc. Then my brother suggested using [this stuff](https://www.amazon.com/Tea-Tree-Hair-Moisturizer-10-14/dp/B002FJ11UW/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=tea+tree+hair+and+body+moisturizer&qid=1623405106&sr=8-3) because I was complaining about dry skin on the edges of my scalp. Holy fuck. When I use this shit after a shower my hair morphs into the pure apotheosis of curls; a divine, frizz-less, and radiant display of weightless, perfect spirals that would make Fibonacci weep. It has also done wonders for my modesty. It could be for some reason it just works for me, and I'm not one to use or endorse cosmetological products, especially not ones that are priced higher than they have any right to be, but you might give this stuff a try before hacking it all off or anything like that.

Go to a nice barber, he will give you a nice fade while keeping your top hair longer. He will also thin it out so your hair is more manageable and you can style it the way you want to look more consistent. I have the same hair type and that's what I do.

-Get a layered cut that works for curl definition, maybe with faded sides -Don't play with your hair too much when it's wet -Anytime your hair is getting frizzy, lightly spray it with water and reform the curl in your fingers (just retwist the curl and gently shake your hair out when done) -Add a hair balm/gel if you want -look into curly hair care advice in general, super helpful for keeping the "fluff" down

Shave the sides and keep the top. Man if I had curly hair like that I’d be rocking tf out of that look
